IvyBrook Academy is a premiere Montessori preschool institution. I got a chance to talk to Priya Dave, a successful Ivybrook franchisee in Hendersonville, TN. Both Priya, and husband Ash were working 9-5 corporate jobs and living mundane lives. But they were very entrepreneurial. They started exploring franchising because they wanted a proven business model with a playbook which they could execute. When they met the Ivybrook team, they immediately bonded with co-founders Jennifer and Drew McWilliams. They found Ivybrook’s offering to be very unique and progressive, with individualized curriculums, which was very different from the traditional daycares in the market. Priya feels she and Ash have really discovered themselves during the business ownership process. “I have grown and learned more from the 4 years of business ownership than all my schooling and college years put together. We have learned so much about ourselves. It’s nice to see the new Priya and Ash”, she says. Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs – “Just do it. I recommend this over a 9-5 job, hands-down. The world is your oyster”
