Caring Beyond Measure Seniors Helping Seniors’ Inspiring Evolution
Since 2021, Seniors Helping Seniors has experienced remarkable growth, expanding by adding 136 new territories. The vast majority of our latest franchisees have joined us through franchise consultants. Within the senior care space, this referral source collaborates exceptionally well with our model, attracting candidates who are a great fit. We are observing a substantial number of seasoned executives, husband-and-wife teams, as well as individuals driven by a desire to serve. We stand as one of those brands where potential franchisees emphasize the cause more than mere numbers. With that being said, at Seniors Helping Seniors, the pursuit of doing good and making money coexist harmoniously.
At Seniors Helping Seniors, our mission involves pairing seniors in need of assistance with mature, active individuals, both women and men, who possess a fervor for aiding others. Founded in 1998, Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home services are built upon two fundamental principles:
- Seniors can mutually contribute to each other's aging process, fostering happiness and grace.
- Both those providing assistance and those receiving it experience equal benefits.
We achieve this by offering:
- A dependable and experienced resource for seniors wishing to remain in their own homes.
- In-home care, companionship, and services delivered by seniors who derive satisfaction from aiding others.
- Affordable hourly rates for seniors seeking care and companionship.
- Competitive hourly wages for seniors aspiring to provide these essential services.
In early 2023, we embarked on an examination of the impact of our system at the caregiver level. While we routinely monitor our system's broad revenue, brand metrics, and the overall experience for our valued seniors, we were intrigued by how these efforts translate into the dynamics within our Seniors Helping Seniors Eco System.
From late 2021 onward, Seniors Helping Seniors has granted franchise rights to sixty new franchisees, encompassing 136 territories. Assuming an average of around forty-five clients per franchisee, this would result in roughly forty-five caregivers dedicating an average of 23 hours per week to their roles. As of 08/15/2023, Payscale.com reports that the average Senior Care worker in the US earns $14.71 per hour.
In light of this remarkable growth, we project the following:
- Employment of over 2700 caregivers.
- Provision of more than three million hours of senior care services annually.
- Injection of contributions exceeding fifty million dollars in Senior Care wages into the US economy on a yearly basis.
At Seniors Helping Seniors, our name encapsulates our essence, and our progress would be unattainable without the passion, compassion, and empathy that each distinct franchisee brings to the table. We consider ourselves fortunate to operate within an industry and model that genuinely empowers us to enhance the lives of our franchisees, their families, the seniors they serve, and the myriad of dedicated caregivers who form the bedrock of Seniors Helping Seniors today.
Seniors Helping Seniors® is an at-home, non-medical caregiving service that prioritizes employing seniors age 65 and up to assist their less active counterparts. The company was founded by husband-and-wife duo Kiran and Philip Yocom. Kiran was inspired to start the franchise while she worked alongside Mother Teresa. The Yocams founded Seniors Helping Seniors® in-home services in 1998 and opened the brand up to franchising in 2006. The Seniors Helping Seniors® brand’s mission of “do good and make money” has worked — as the Seniors Helping Seniors® network has grown to more than 100 franchise partners in 30-plus states and international markets.
